Ideal Property Group Raises The Bar Higher With High-Quality Homes At Affordable Rates

2020-10-08

One of Penang’s most prolific real estate developers, Ideal Property Group has redefined the island’s affordable living segment. The company has completed more than 6,000 residential and commercial units across 60 projects since its inception in 2000 with 15,000 more currently in the pipeline.

Over the last 12 months alone, Ideal has brought a series of cost-effective housing developments to market, including One Foresta and Forest Ville in Penang’s up-and-coming Bayan Lepas district and the award-winning I-Santorini property on the coastline of Seri Tanjung Pinang. It was this commitment to consistently providing high-quality, accessible residences to investors and homeowners on the Pearl of the Orient that encouraged the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) judging panel to name Ideal as Best Affordable Developer (Malaysia) at the 2020 virtual event in September.

“Crafting a bold, fresh and contemporary development approach toward urban living for over 20 years, Penang-based Ideal Property Group is the name in affordability,” the panel said. “Locations, facilities and a mission to provide for an evolving country’s growing needs enhance an expanding reputation for improving the local area’s property landscape.”

Arguably the group’s most ambitious project of late, I-Santorini, which won Best Mass Market Housing Development (Malaysia) at the 2019 event, was amongst its recent residential properties singled out by the judging panel. The three-tower condo development, inspired by the namesake Greek resort island, stands apart from neighbouring developments with its whimsical mix of Med-flecked design and landscaping, comprising more than 30 community-orientated amenities. These include a ‘Wellness Cove’, ‘Water Leisure and Children Cove’ and a ‘Function Zone’ featuring meeting rooms and a community hall, while access to Seri Tanjung Pinang beachfront amenities is an inevitable boon for residents.

Indeed, Ideal’s commitment to designing community spaces within its residential development also saw the firm take home the Special Recognition for Building Communities trophy. In addition to I-Santorini, the panel highlighted the lifestyle-focused One Foresta, completed in 2019, which offers a variety of onsite sports and leisure activities and a prime location close to educational institutes, markets, hawker stalls and green recreational areas.

“Ideal Property Group strategically locates developments with remarkable on-site amenities, enhancing community life, while residents bond through communal spaces and are within walking distance of surrounding neighbourhoods. Projects succeed magnificently in building-up affordable housing potential and also giving local areas a beneficial boost.”

Adding to the 2020 trophy haul, the expert panel awarded Ideal the Special Recognition for Corporate Social Responsibility and Special Recognition in Sustainable Design for its strict adherence to environmentally-friendly construction methods and educational support of differently-abled members of society with the construction of a local special needs school, as well as a fire station and extensive tree planting initiatives that aim to make the local neighbourhood — and lives of residents — a little greener.
