Message from the Convention Chairman
MIEA is the only association representing Registered Estate Agents in the country. We empower our members to promote professionalism and protect public interest. MIEA is the leading voice for Estate Agents in Malaysia in matters relating to our practice.
The Malaysian Annual Real Estate Convention, acronymed MAREC, has been held annually for the past 26 years and has become the largest platform for practitioners to congregate, discuss and determine the future course of the profession. We are expecting 600 participants to attend MAREC 12 this year, including participants from the US, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
The Theme for MAREC 12 is "Property Investment - The Way Forward". This theme has been selected because we feel that with the financial crunch taking place in Europe and the US, the time is right for practitioners as well as the public investors to take stock of the situation and assess new growth and investment areas. Many interesting topics will be presented by speakers from around the globe who have had experience in Real Estate Investment in the global market environment.
